In breaking news, Tory Lanez has officially been charged with assault. And it’s in relation to the July 12 shooting that left Megan Thee Stallion with gunshot wounds on both feet.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced:
“The rap artist known as Tory Lanez has been charged with assaulting a female friend in the Hollywood Hills earlier this year.
Daystar Peterson aka Tory Lanez (dob 7/27/92) was charged today in case BA490599 with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm – personal use of a firearm – and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The defendant also faces a gun allegation and that he personally inflicted great bodily injury.”
The charge comes after Megan named Lanez as her shooter.
After a lengthy silence, the Canadian resurfaced, sharing his side of the drama on surprise album ‘DAYSTAR.’ A project on which he denied the allegations levelled against him.
Suffice to say, prosecutors didn’t agree.
